Scope and Contents This collection contains manuscripts and other documents of Jesse B. Worden, a Baptist missionary and pastor active in New York and Pennsylvania during the early- and mid-Nineteenth Century. Most of the collection consists of the manuscript texts of Worden’s sermons. These are generally untitled, except for the notation of their specific subject Bible verse, and undated; the small number of sermons that are dated come from between 1840 and 1850, when Worden was a pastor in Montrose,...
